... what's the first piece of music gear you would buy?
Bonus points for gear that isn't obvious (vintage Les Pauls etc.)
If I won the lottery, the first piece of gear I would buy is a double-neck SG. It would be like having a pet elephant... very cool, but not very practical
Then some Eventide pedals... |

I'd find a nice blonde Gibson L-5CESN with single-coil pickups(I'm a Scotty Moore fan from way back). That would be the "grail" for me, as far as electric guitars go.
Amps I'm honestly set on for now, not really looking for anything.
Pedalwise, I'm always on the lookout for DM-2s; I'd probably try to corner the market on these like gplayer298 or something. I've got four now, plus a DM-3, plus a coupla RE-20s, so I guess I'm set on that too.
Gearwise I guess I'm in better shape than I thought...just wish I could land that L-5... |

A Roland FC-300 to go with my GP-100 (and probably another GP). I've also always wanted a Tele..... Other than that, I'm pretty much set

I would finally buy a Fender custom made bass guitar since I haven't found a suiting bass for me and I'm on the search for many years now. |

A fender Jaguar, blocks & binded. Not sure what finish. Either '66 original or new custom shop(probaly prefer a new one, could specify what finish and electronics)
an original 72 telecaster deluxe & a rickenbcker 330 would be nice too.
Pedal wise, I'd just pick up a nova delay/verbzilla & polytune.
Amp wise, maybe a 70s/80s Fender twin?
oh, and this would be nice too:

or a Delorean would do nicely.

If ya want a DeLorean you would have to get all the bits from the machines..i.e moulds etc...last time i heard most of that stuff was being used as weights to hold down crab and lobster pots around the coast of Ireland.... ..... |

| It's more more of a challenge to find a right-hand drive DeLorean! |

The biggest challenge would be to have this car in the garage and wait until you reach the proper age for driving licence. |

Oh, and back to the topic. Anyone mentioned PRS yet? Yes, I'd get one Top 10 with bird inlays. |

Probably a really cool all tube bass amp, something like an SVT or similar. Mind you, I'm more than happy with my solid state Gallien Krueger (it has that Duff Mckagan type tone I love) but there's just something about an all tube amp that can't be replaced or modeled with solid state technology.
Downsize to tubes amps is that they're expensive and heavy to lift, but I guess that's part of what THEY call Rock&Roll. |

I don't like it, rear mirrors are way too large...
I'd spend the money having someone making a guitar designed just for me. |

wow... hard to break it down to one piece of gear...i'd say my buddy Adam's 1957 Fender Stratocaster...when we were kids that guitar was a badass, long before I knew anything about gear that guitar just had a "presence"...his grandfather bought it new for his dad back in the day...and it's still in the family...the few times i've played it, just holding it in my hands distracted me from "really" getting down and sawing into it ...the smell it gives off just screams mojo... |

I'd probably book a month at Abbey Road and play with every bit of vintage gear they have
I'd also ask Billy Gibbons what he would take for his amazing guitar collection, or Slash's, or The Edge's (you get the idea...) |
