Terrible.... don't want to be pessimistic about this but starting up again in the current climate is going to be hard with getting business loans etc......
I read a thread on another effect-oriented forum regarding this tragedy. Apparently a buddy of Keeley's was there chatting when the fire started, and he said that he grabbed an armful of guitars and ran outside with them, and went back for another round before the flames got too heavy.
The irreplaceable stuff will be all the fine vintage amps and guitars that were living there, plus all the rock star-signed pedals and memorabilia.
Mr. Keeley himself stated that he believes everything can be up and running again in two months or so, but he was worried about how his employees will maintain in the meantime.
Sounds like a super-nice guy and I wish him the best of luck in getting it all together again.
Sad to hear this. I was going to try modding a cheap DS-1 off ebay to SEM for my first mod attempt, but now I think I should wait and buy one from the man himself. Help him get back on his feet.
