I realize this is not music gear! But I've been selling off my collection of Snow chains recently, and it is that time of year...

So if you want some good chains, email or post. Let me know your tire size and I'll tell you if I have them. They are all the high-quality Lacledes. I would prefer to work out a trade for pedals.

Moderator, feel free to delete this if you find it tasteless.

Hi Disco Stu

I can't see a problem with this.

I guess, as long as it doesn't end up another Craigie Boys List,
of people selling off stuff, like their "Dead Hamster Collection".
Or boxes of flat batteries collected from Pace Makers.

You did mention that you preferred to trade for pedals.
And it does say "Buying or Selling non-Boss Products"

It's been in the high 28's to 32 Deg. Celsius - here where I am in Oz, so you can probably count me out of the trade negotiations.

While I can't totally speak for Bossarea, I'm sure it will be fine with him as well.

Besides, I'm interested to know how many pedals a Snow chain is worth in trade...

Regards Dr. Bob

Thanks Dr. Bob --

Actually I've been doing fine selling the spare chains on eBane, and I've already traded my dead Hamsters for DOD pedals

I was inspired by the "snowed-in" thread to throw out this chain offer. The state I currently reside in outlaws chains and studded tires, but I'd rather wear them than get stuck or be in a smash-up.

Anyway, I'd prefer to rehome the chains to someone that needs them, and has pedals that need a new home. So if someone is stuck in the snow and ice, send me your unwanted pedals and get some groovy tire chains!

And enjoy your nice weather. Six months from now you'll wish you were on the hemisphere where toilets flush backwards!

Later

Hmmmmm... not too sure that was a good trade,
Unless a few DOD/now Digitech - Bad Monkeys, were part of the deal.

Hey Laurie
Don't forget the roll of packing tape - Gaffa tape.
You wouldn't want them to explode

32 deg C here today.
I might go out a buy a SnowCone, or maybe a Super Large Slushie.

And one bad thing,
It's way too hot to fire up the old Fender Tube amp, here in the Lab/studio.
I guess it's back to the little Pignose amp until later in the evening.

And Mrs. Dr. Bob promised me a few light ones of these later.

Actually, "snow" chains definitely make it easier and safer to drive in the sand. Here in "America" the surfers call them 'SNO-CONE chains'. That is because they enable one to drive more quickly to their favorite secret surfing spots, so that when they arrive the sno-cone purchased in town is still intact.

But if you are heading out to hang with the Abos, you need to invest in a good set for traction.

Sorry it's so darn warm in your hemisphere! You will need plenty of to stay hydrated.

Better than an ice storm knocking out power for two weeks then two major 12-18" snow storms back to back making restoring power all the more diffcult... I'd take just snow to ice anyday!!

btw are those the older steel chains or the newer lite weight aluminum chains with the non rubber mounting adapter

Blueswah,

What I've got are the Les Schwab Quick-Fit Diamond pattern chains. I might still have a pair of Alpine brand also. They are heavy and made of steel of some sort, not stainless. Laclede manufactures these for different companies. I haven't seen the aluminum ones yet...

But these are actual chains, not the cable things. I'm going to put another set on eBane tonight.
