Hi Guys,

I am looking to buy for Christmas these 2 pedals from Electro Harmonix but I have two small questions.

Are they based on SMD technology ?

Will they work with a boss PSA adapter (via NS2) polarity-wise ?

Thanks in advance !

I don't think they're surface-mount. It's a while since I opened mine up, but from what I recall they're standard through-hole soldered components. The Small Clone uses BBDs (3007/3101) and the Small Stone uses OTAs (equivalent to CA3080, the 8-pin ones, or was it 3094...?).

The DC sockets are centre-positive 3.5mm (1/8") mini-jacks. I made my own cables to go from a Boss-polarity (ie, outer +ve) to the EHX jack type. Nothing a few minutes with a soldering iron can't sort out.

Yeah, same here with the jack changer - I have made a Boss to EH changer cable for my EH pedals. Makes it way easier to power the little buggers.
