I usually end up drinking domestic Keith's or Sleeman (both very tasty but pedestrian), but when I do stock up on liquor-store beer (as opposed to beer-store beer, it's all gov't controlled), my faves Schlenkerla Rauchbier (smokebeer), or the Erdinger Dunkel/Weiss.
Guinness is great too, but I'm too far from Dublin for a truly great pint of it.. Other stouts and various black beers always interest me.
I'm pretty flexible with alcohol.. but too much isn't good for responsibilities the next day . Friday night was Rye/Ginger shots, which escalated into overproof rum. |

Honestly, the only beer I would turn down if there was nothing else available is Becks. For me it tastes rank. I'm off to to the US in a couple of weeks. Florida and Miami in particular. Anyone recommend any good beers to try? I love trying new beers, and I'm from Scotland. Just for info, I pretty much only drink beer. No wine, spirits or anything. Maybe ann occasional Pear Cider on a hot day.
Beer I recommend - Samuel Smith Organic Ale, Waggle Dance, and Champion Organic Ale.The Samuel Smiths is simply the nicest tasting beer that's ever touched my lips. Oh and try Newcastle Brown Ale if you get the chance. I do regularly enjoy Guinness, Miller, Bud and Fosters. But they're day to day beers. Only Guinness is worth boasting about, and tastes the best in Ireland. I did the Guinness factory tour in Dublin and the pint at the 'Sky Bar' I believe it was called was orgasmic. |

Cheers man. I'll certainly let you know when I'm over again. Wasn't over recently. Probably about 2 years since I've been. My girlfriends from Skerries, so I used to be in Ireland almost every second weekend. I have since clubbed her, and dragged her back to my cave in Scotland. How neanderthal am I.... |

Since you are going to be in my territory for work let me recommend:
Heineken Heineken Dark (totally underrated) Heineken Light (If you like Miller/Bud Light) Amstel Light Newcastle Newcastle Summer Ale (only in Orlando) Dos XX Sol Bohemia Carta Blanca

I'm not familiar with any Florida breweries but as for American, oh GOD where do I begin? Some of the top breweries in the states are Stone, Rouge, Dogfish Head, and Bells. What specific beers? Depends on what style of beers you enjoy.
Abbey Brewing Co.
Looks like the spot in Miami Beach. |
