Well, I like ML-2 a lot but I just turn the knobs until there is something I like. It depends on the guitar used too. I use it for more experimental stuff, not blues I like it with the bottom end turned up.

Hi Goran Do you mean with the Bass cranked up? Or with the pedal turned upside down...
Sorry Goran... I couldn't resist it. It was a tough day at the Salt Mines...Office.

Det är bra, att det finns on-line översättare därefter, ja? |

Nä, jag fattar inte ett skit.
I'm just lingually confused. Mumbling away in a mixture of languages. A while ago I searched google for something effect pedal related and found some pages from Japan. A colleague at work walked pass me and asked if I could read Japanese. Apparently I had been staring at a page full of Japanese text for a full minute thinking the meaning would pop into my brain if I just concentrated hard enough. |

I do that to, but I always end up with a dirty story about some chicks, which in no possible way can have something to do with the pedal in the picture.

Hi Goran
What!!! You lost your job? They repossessed your car? Your wife ran off with all your pedals, & the butcher? Your house caught fire? And your dog is pregnant?
Bloody on-line translators, they always get it wrong..

Sorry Coconuts, this thread has quickly gotten way off track. I'll try to answer your question.
For the most part Boss pedals are pretty simple to adjust. You should start out with the example settings in the manual until you get a sound close to your liking. Then, just fiddle with the knobs a bit. Just remember, pedals sound different together. The order has a lot to do with your final sound as well.
Here's a couple of links I think you should read: http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4126 http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3892
If you want, I can work with you to find a couple of your favorite sounds on the ML-2 if you're having trouble. After tweaking the settings in the manual, I like to just sweep the different knobs in order to familiarize myself with them. A lot of people here like the ML-2 & I think its perfect for your style. I rather like the versatility of the MT-2 with its intrinsic parametric EQ.
Don't be afraid to experiment! Half the fun is stumbling onto that one great sound you get by fiddling with the knobs that otherwise you wouldn't have found by sticking to someone else's favorite setting. Once you find "your" sound, please report back & let us all know about it! If you like a couple different settings, you may want to mark them on masking tape, in the manual, or that sheet I gave you.
Good luck |
