i have a GT8 , that i use with my marshall , my question is , do
the compact pedals sound better than a multi effects unit .
if you were to compare a delay from the GT8 v/s a delay from
a DD 3 or alike , what one will sound cleaner fuller etc.

your thoughts would be great !!

thanks

Sooo... I bought a used GT-8 a few months back. Played with it for a while and then packed it up and put it in storage. There is just something about the sound from analogue/older pedals that it can't emulate.

i do not use any od/dist. from the GT8 , only the effects like
delay , reverbs , trem , flanger etc. and i'm using the four
cable method to hook to my 6100LM MARSHALL.

I did something similar.
Bought a GT8 earlier this year.
It is a very good multi-effects pedal, and superb if you want to emulate other guitarists or are in a cover band.
However, I just could not get "my sound".

So, personally, I've sold the GT8 and gone back to a handful of pedals on a pedal board.

Hi Guys

This is a partial reply - along a similar topic.

I kept my GT-3's
I use the studio quality reverbs in the studio,
saves buying into really big name, big $$$$ units - rack gear.

I occasionally also use the delay/s but on very subtle settings.

I have not used the GT-8 in this setting-mode yet.
It's all a matter of having enough time to play with the gear.

Regards Dr. Bob
