| It looks a bit home made. Have you had a look inside? |

It looks home made in a way, but the soldering and cable drawing is extremely well done. I asked the same question on a Swedish guitar forum and was suggested that I could be a Monsterpiece fuzz. I have googled on this and there is some similarity.

It sounds very good, not as fizzy as most fuzzes do, more like good overdrive. I think it is a Fuzz Face clone, I will check this out. Fuzzes do vary sound wise as much as overdrives do, maybe even more.

Hi Goran I know you are an avid collector of Fuzz pedals.
Any chance you might send some pics of the inside?
How good good it sound? Does the BIAS have a lot of range? Are the transistor Germanium or Silicon types? What did you manage to get if for $$ ?
Regards Dr. Bob |

The picture I got from the seller, my daughters camera is really bad at close up. But I will give it a try. Its a germanium fuzz and the bias do alter the sound but not in a drastic way. I paid around US $65 for it. As I said above it not a spitting fizzy fuzz (although I like those too).

| Is it on an etched or printed circuit board? Just wondering as that may give hints on who made it or where they may have gotten the parts so you can build some of them. |

| I can't stop staring at the photo - it appeals to some primitive instinct. |

Dr Bob: I hadnt time to check the transistors yesterday, sorry
With the help from the Swedish forum Planket I now know a lot more, just read all about Monsterpiece pedals here: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1778565
There seems to be a cult following on these pedals, I can understand that

Hi Goran Looks like you scored yourself the Classic fuzz
I read 21 pages of the link to the Forum on those pedals. man do they have a cult following.. I will read the rest when time permits..
From the forum, Richard makes a lot of different versions of that pedal, including a TRI monster fuzz.
I couldn't believe how sweet some of his pedals sounded, & I'm not a big fuzz user, but......
What does your Classic Fuzz sound like.... Maybe some samples? And some internal pics?
You're a lucky guy Goran.
Regards Dr. Bob

Well Dr Bob... I cant record sound samples (dont know how to publish it), and I cant take pictures of the inside with the equipment I have disposable... For sure I can tell that the inside of the Monsterpiece fuzz is a delight, I have nerver seen anything built to this standard.
The sound of the fuzz is not like a fuzz until higher settings, its more like a very, very good overdrive, sweet singing sustain and tone. Like most fuzzes it really needs a good tube amp at high volume, but then the guitar plays by itself. Highly touch sensitive, and a little roll off the guitars volume cleans up nicely.
Oh, this is by far the best fuzz I ever played!
