Kind of cool. Chrome dome knobs would look a lot better.

It looks kick-ass!
That site shows a guy stripping a #9800 DS-1... I'd never punish that pedal like this. |

Hi ChristoMephisto,
there's a way to have the translation of the products and tools used to obtain this chromatic/mirrored effect, please? I know the traditional chinese, but not the mandarin and japanese (I'm kidding!).
I can see abrasive cards, abrasive rolls (for drill), surely a de-painter, a bottle where I can read "King Bright", a drill, a thin knife maybe to remove the melted paint, but I would like to know it exactly.
I don't care the brands, any country has theirs, but the kind of products and tools used.
I would like to do it on my Cry Baby, same the one the the site.
Thanks. |

The link above at DIYstompbox gives the general breakdown. After you peel off the paint, they buffed it with the coarse brush, then a 600-800 grit with buffer solution to give it the shine |

Hey fabius, I don't know if that would work on a normal crybaby, that is a special model. http://www.jimdunlop.com/index.php?page=products/pip&id=362&pmh=products/p_and_e_detail probably. Wouldn't the metal be all mottled? to be that shiny it would need a chrome pedal, but I could be wrong. |

I repainted my crybaby 6 months ago. I used strip eze to get rid of the black powdercoat. The metal is as referred to as "mottled" or blochty looking <--- not sure if i spelled that right. Neaves |
