Question:

Can I use any Midi foot controller with my Boss GT-Pro? I have an old Digitech Control One foot controller and a Roland VG-88, both of which are Midi floorboards. Does it matter to the GT-Pro? The manual only refers to the FC-200 floor board.

Thanks.

Hi Tulago and welcome to the forum.

Midi is a common standard so any midi controller should (in theory) be able to control the GT-Pro. Whenever I've done anything with midi, I've run into problems but people says it's because I don't know what I'm doing...

i've got an old digitech control seven and it's worked with everything i've connected it so far
i've used it with a Boss SE-50 and Behringer V-Amp, as well as some other FX units i've had over the years

basically anything MIDI will work with anything else MIDI, but you'll have to set each thing to the same channel.

I'm getting interested in this as i've started running a bit of a rack lately and i'm in the marketplace for a boss/roland sx 700 or srv 330/3030....i'm assuming i could link into my Pod XT pro with MIDI cables and control patch changes off the pod on both units...??....

P.S.........Welcome to the forum from Ireland..........

Midi is digital interface for music instruments, so yes, all midi deveices should be able to "talk" to each other.
It can get complicated when using multiple units.
Be sure the sending and receiving unit are "talking" on the same midichannel!
