Watery Australian beer hey Goran?... ouch hehe. I guess I'm used to aussie beers, to be honest up until like the last 20 years or so it was hard to get anything other than home grown here without paying lotsa $$. Even now you dont get much change from about $55 on a box of Corona's on special. Our tax on alcohol & cigarettes is pretty full on.

I'm quite partial to hanging out in some of the Irish pubs here and tossing back a guinness or kilkenny.

Heh heh...you can't beat the black stuff.....

we also make cider in ireland, very popular in the summertime,it's called bulmers here, but for the export market they changed the name to magniers, you can get it on draught or in pint or long neck bottles..very nice with a glass of ice........they should have called it rocket fuel, nasa could use some of this stuff to fly the space shuttle.......

Isn't that hard to get in the states ?

Hoegaarden en amstel for me, but I'm drinking fraziskaner weissbier and kronsberg while it's easier to get.

They're all a little hard to get except warstiner, which seems to be cropping up at almost every party store/gas station around here. But lucky for me I live five minutes away from a beer and wine specialty store. They can get alot of good imports there even Hoegaarden.

Hey FRANZONI

CONGRATULATIONS to both you & the lovely wife.

Did you get a Baby Boy? or
Did you get a Baby Girl?

I hope all went well
10 toes?
10 Fingers? You know, that kind of stuff.

And bugger it... I know I'm off topic.

FRANZONI (new dad guy) PM me some pics of the new arrival, with Mum and Dad...

PS -- I hope you got all the pedals you needed before the happy day?
Did you get a new guitar of your new arrival...

GAS will now have a WHOLE DIFFERENT MEANING.

Congrats again Dr. Bob

Congrats FRANZONI!

We have an 8 month old and world became a better place once he came into it.

On the topic at hand, it's hard for me not to be biased since I work for a beer company....

Figured I'd resurrect this topic because it is mine.

And my favorites have since changed.

Right now I'm very into Short's Huma Lupa Licious. But I am also infatuated by Belgian Triples and Belgian Strong Pales. Most notably Westmalle and Orval, and yes I love Trappist beers (thanks Fredric).

So I raise the question again what's your favorite beer(s)?

And a happy second birthday to your daughter in a couple of weeks Franzoni.

Cheers!!

Thanks right foot....... wow nearly two years already...time does fly when your changing nappies..........our local aldi and lidl stores sell a lot of the german beers now for great prices so warsteiner have become a regular visitor in my fridge these days along with some other stuff from lidl with one of those geman names i can never remember....i'm very selective in what pubs i drink guinness these days as i don't think some places maintain their taps properly and the quality seems to vary....

Coopers pale. It's a good South Australian beer.

The company I work for did a little work at their brewery recently. It stank like off/stale beer. Kinda put me off it for a while...

When I eventually move home to Australia from Canada, I'll miss Rickards "White" - it's a pretty good local copy of a European cloudy ale, something like Hoegaarden.
