I don´t know wich mod it is, but the text said: Here's a Boss BD-2 Blues Driver Pedal that has been Custom Modded with Sprague Orange Drop, Silver Mica, and Tantalum Capacitors. The Diode Configuration has also been changed for a more Authentic Tube Amp Grind. All of the Capacitors in the Signal Path have been changed for a more Full & Smooth response to the Input Signal. 80 - 100 Volt Sprague Orange Drop Capacitors were used to replace all of the standard 16 volt foil caps that Boss uses. Using Larger, Better Quality components in the Pedal Naturally Improves and Enhances the Tone passing through the Signal Path. Silver Mica Capacitors are known for their smooth response to High Frequencies, and were used to replace all of the ceramic disk capacitors in the Signal Path. Ceramic Disk capacitors tend to be harsh and brittle in comparision, so this change has done much to smooth out the pedals response. Tantalum Capacitors are known for their Fast & Smooth Release of Power & Add Detail to the Pedals Tone. They also have a prolonged life compared to the Electrolytic Capacitors they replaced. New Electrolytic Capacitors were installed in the Power Supply Section of the Pedal to Insure that the circuit was running at Optimal P erformance. Sonically the Modded BD-2 is more Transparent, allowing the Tone of the Guitar through the Circuit with Subtle Overdrive to Deep Grind.
So now I just have to wait and see how it sounds. Doe´s anyone know wich mod this is? I was thinking about a Keeley at first, but this went cheaper and I did not like the added switch at the Keeley mod. Actually I prefer only level and driveknobs, but I guess that I have to live with this one... |
