You remind me of me. A brand new piece of gear hasn't even entered my house and I'm wondering how to mod it once I buy it and bring it home! Or, while I'm waiting for an eBay parcel, I'm also buying mod kits or looking for replacement knobs, switches, etc. Now, older and wiser , I play the darn thing for a long while, and then decide why I like it or don't like it. Compare it to your other pedals. If you have no other fuzz pedals, and you screw this up, you won't have a pedal to play. I still say just try the Ruetz mod first, and then tweak the EQ if you still feel the need. Clipping the diode will take away the buzz, and what's a Rat without buzz? |
