Well, this forum has been on the net for one year now, I think it started about the 1st of June 2005. I remember that Bossarea and myself had e-mail conversations some time before and he mentioned that he was planning to do a forum. I was excited of course and made my best to talk him into it , thinking of how nice it would be to communicate with other Boss-adorers.
We talked a bit about that one of the biggest reasons was to find out the serial numbering systems, nothing was solved a year ago, and indeed this has now been solved!
Plus at lot of other information not known at that time, I mean really a lot.
When I hit my computer at my work, the forum is always the first place to go.
I would like to thank Bossarea for all of the work he has performed to make this forum happen, I suppose there are hours after hours of work behind this forum and the Boss-pages.
So, Bossarea, a big thank you from me (and I suppose all of the members of this forum), a fantastic job!!!

Whoohoo and Thank you.
You're perfectly right. It's bossarea's one year birthday today. 
When I looked at other effect forums like guitargeek, hc and the newsgroups there wasn't that much activity so I never thought a Boss forum would take off as much as it has. The site has grown from 3000 user per month to 9000 over the last year and 402 members have posted almost 10000 messages so far. Not bad for the first year.

Indeed, this truly is an excellent resource, with excellent members who share a vast wealth of information.
I knew I was obsessed with these pedals before bossarea.com existed, but I had no idea how much until it did.

happy bday. big thankyou to Bossarea (and Goran for his manipulation skills) its amazing how big this forum is after only a year. it has been a great help to questions ive had about FX, and has even helped my playing here and there.

even without the Boss/Roland SN info, this forum has been invaluable in helping figure out which (Boss!) pedals to buy (and which to avoid), troubleshooting, and more. so thank you bossarea, and thank you to Goran and all of the other members who have posted their opinions and experiences here.... |

Seriously, though -- this site has proven to be an outstanding resource as I've kicked away the cobwebs and dusted off my long-idle music/electronics hobby; I've learned a great deal here and feel fortunate that I found it.

I found this site some time ago, and I allways refer to it as soon as I have a question about Boss pedal. Great site, really, congratulation ! |

I agree with Basstyra, this the best reference for Boss pedal information in the web. And this forum, well, I have never entered in a forum before, but I really am a fan of Boss pedals and I found very interesting. There are not many people to talk about this pedals in my town. It is a very inusual hobby or topic for conversation and sometimes it's boring for most people, obviously not to me. I would like it to be more mexicans here to trade pedals. |

well done bossarea ...its hard to believe your only just over a year old....this is a really great site.....i agree about guitargeek etc no disrepect to them but there wasn't much happening and harmony central has gone mad...abusing people about their choice of gear ....nuts.....anyway i really enjoy this place...... rock on...!!!! |
