Great! Two questions:
1- why are your CS-1 missing its knobs 2- how does the Ibanez 7 series work for you? |

Hi Mansun Is that a JEN Crybaby next to the purple Line6 4 button pedal? If it's a JEN, then which colour Fasel inductor is in it? Any Pics of the internals?
BTW nice collection. Regards Dr. Bob |

| Sorry, Doc, no idea, I wish those pedals were mine, but I just reproduced the pics in my post without noticing. |

Sorry, been keyboardless this past week.
I scored that beat up CS-1 for about 30$ on ebay with the intention of repairing it. It lights up, but no sound passes through. the TA7136p chip was removed for some reason, so I was going to order one soon. I really like the Ibanez 7 series. Especially the DE7. The TS7 is great but for me it was difficult to get a great sound + harness the feedback in hot mode. I also had an LF7 which does a cool lo-fi EQ thing and I wanted to try the PM7 as well as an AP7. But yeah the DE7 is a fantastic controllable delay with great analog and digital tones.

Thanks. It's actually a Thomas Organ crybaby with a TDK inductor. I would love to get my hands on a JEN italian wah one day. I have seen them with red, yellow, white, and green fasels.
But my favorite wah is that Korg Mr Multi. Great options and a beautiful sweep. Definitely an underrated pedal. I plan on true bypass-ing that one along with a few others soon.

Hi solewheelin
---slight off topic---
I belive that the Thomas & the Jen are almost identical. I would still like to see some internal pics, if you get time.
I have a Jens with RED, White Fasel's. Justin my friend Justin just acquired a Green Fasel Jen, this is the very first Green Fasel Jen that I have ever seen. It's identical to my White Fasel from a manufacturing & component perspective.
While I haven't had the opportunity to have all of the variations in one place, they do sound similar.
I have some annual leave coming up, so there might be a chance to do some one on one testing then.
The Korg Mr Multi, is not well known here in Oz. I would be keen to see the insides of your Korg Mr Multi.
Regards Dr. Bob

Heres the Korg FK-2 Mr Multi

The Thomas Crybaby with the red TDK cube inductor is one I have seen a few times before. I'll see if I can take some pics tonight. |

Hi solewheelin
Thanks for the decent pics of your Korg FK-2 Mr Multi. That's one complex little bugger.
I see a Fairchild UA3403 Quad opamp, from 1975 late in the year (Wk-49) & the other IC looks like it's a Motorola MC1458 GP Dual opamp. I also see 3x IS1555 silicon diodes, possibly for asymmetrical clipping?
If you have found any sound samples, I would like to hear this pedal.

This is my first time posting pics to the forum, but I couldn't resist my after acquiring a CE-1 today. Some day I'll post a picture of my complete collection.
