I just bought a used OS-2, where the seller stated that "a capacitor" broke off the PCB, and if this cap would be replaced, the pedal would probably work again. OK, I located the polarity protection diode to be burnt away, and replaced it. The pedal of course did not work afterwards. There's sound in bypass mode, but nothing comes through with the effect engaged. The LED lights up normally. Then I replaced the DIL 1458 op amp, without success. Now what should I do next? There's another 8 pin in line op amp, which could also be burnt. What op amp can I use here (the type is hard to read when it's in place)? Or should I replace any other component? |
