Sorry.... all screwholes countersunk and filled, cabs sanded and varnished..baffles cut out for the speakers... the 6mm bolts i had for bolting the speakers to the baffleboard turned out to be a bit shorter than i thought so i need to get some longer ones before i can put the grillcloth on and wire them up....i've taken some more pics but i'm heading out to a gig(i was out thursday and friday as well) now so probably tomorrow at the earliest......thre is a bit more work in doing these cabs than i thought but i'm enjoying it.... |

sanded,screwholes filled and varnished.....

holes cut out of baffles for speakers...this was probably the hardest part of the whole project so far..going 'freehand' with a jigsaw....

speakers mounted with 6mm gutterbolts..

ready for the grillcloth.....

handles fitted...(salvaged off an old 2U rack i had that the top was smashed in...)

rear view of the speakers....
i need to cut the two half panels for the semi open back and cover the speakers with the grillcloth....wire up the speaker and i'm good to go.... more pics soon....... |

rhcp-1005.... from your avatar i rackon your a floyd fan as well so this might be of interest to you...i have a leslie simulator in my rack very similar to the one gilmour used for a while(dynacord CLS 22 gilmour used the 222)part of the reason of building these cabs is to run this unit in it's full super stereo capacity..gilmour is known for leaving his leslie cabs on a slow setting all the time rather than switching them in and out either side of his main amps to thicken the sound and i wanted to experiment with this but keep my main amp 'clean'....basically i'm going to run the rack post amp like in a recording studio and these cabs will be my monitors... |

| Should sound really good when finished, especially making two cabs for stereo use, bet it'll be really spacey. Can't wait to see them finished. Will you be making any sound clips, I'd love to hear them in action. |
