thanks for the pics tunghaichuan.

so not stompboxes need to be treated with stereo cables, just the specialized stereo effects right?

In stereo stompboxes there are two outputs so you use two mono cables into two different amps to get the stereo effect.

sorry i meant "not all stompboxes"

Sorry, I didn't understand you. There are both mono and stereo stompboxes. The mono ones just use a standard guitar cable or patch cable to connect them. You need two for stereo stompboxes.

Stereo all the time for me.

As usual, for what seems like loads of years, I'm ampless.
Stereo signal from the chorus/delay on my board is fed direct to the PA/Mixer/Recorder/etc..

I myself have never done this idea but I figured I would throw it out there for those of you who like to have fun... Take a stereo delay at the end of your chain with a nice ping-pong, and then hook each output to another stereo delay set to identical ping pongs, and run 4 amps in a quadraphonic surround setup around yourself. I have never tried it, but I can imagine it would be trippy as hell. Now we just need someone who has 3 stereo delay pedals. if you are really adventurous you could set it up in a criss-cross pattern too, lol. Try it out and let me know.

With decent timings and mixtures of short/long delays at full/half/dotted notes etc., you'd get some nice poly-rhythms going.

you can do some pseudo-stereo delay tricks with DD-2/3, DM-3 etc.. It won't be a real panning ping-pong, but you can get quad- or hexaphonic insanity depending on how many amps you're willing to run.

When I do trippy rigs like this I like to pitch-shift some of the signals as well, sending the low ones to a bass amp. Also fun trying to trigger TW-1/FT-2 with the various signals coming out of a handful of delays.

I think everyone needs two or more amps!!

And i thought i was nuts with all the stuff i bring to gigs.......great idea bro'.....unfortunately i have the amps but i don't have the two extra delays with the ping pong function...althought on a slightly related topic...i used my ping pong delay on a floyd number we do in the set the other night...i saw one of my mates in the crowd looking at the PA speakers with the echo bouncing accross them...funny to watch........
