Is there anybody else who has downloaded Dr Bobs piece Midningt Traffic? I did yesterday and I was a bit confused by the music. Dr Bob playing electro-funk on synthesizers The first listening really shook my speakers; there were some serious bass notes. As this is not my type of music I gave it a second chance; and this time I got into the music much more and liked what I heard. There are loops (or things that sound like loops) in it that strongly reminds me of Robert Fripps 80s solo albums, I like that! Im not sure Dr Bob uses keyboard synthesisers; if I remember right he has a guitar synth. On the whole this is a good and interesting piece of music, not as close to my heart as Lynbrook or Holding Alex, but Dr Bob told me that this was a purely commercial piece that he sold for some dvd-production.

I downloaded it a couple days ago. I already had his other two.
It is rather strange to think here, we are a guitar based effects forum & one of our foremost members hacks around with synths, pads, e-drums, loops, etc. Haha.. I'm listening to it now & caught a hint of Michael Jackson's Thriller in the bassline!
Dr. Bob's foray into electronic music is very good & I'm glad he let us have it. Sheesh, I have a real Moog synth, Alesis drum machine & Midnight Traffic is one song to which I aspire. I don't think he divulged exactly how he produced his songs or what tools he used. I hope he'll step up & let us know because I'd like to create something that sounds as good.
Tks again Bob! |

| I, and a couple of others on this forum, got notification of Midnight traffic via an e-mail from Dr Bob. He wrote the story there, but not how it was done, so come on Dr Bob, tell us!!!! |

Apologies sp-1 I guess I just missed adding you to my quick list. just ask Goran, what time of the night-morning it was when I sent out the note.
I'll put you at "numero uno", on the next notification.
Regards Dr. Bob

Hi DeFrag You know I would but... If you recall, the last few times I tried to PM you, your ISP/Server has my BLACKLISTED my commercial ISP/Server. And I had to mail you via the forum's email.
And that was the very first time I PM-ed you. So I don't believe I could have looked like a prolific spammer.
I have an OPTUS account, no small fly-by-night company. IF you would be kind enough to ask you ISP to unblock mail coming from my Optus account. I'll only be too happy to put you back on my little PM mailing list.
Or at least ask you provider if they can Unblock mail coming from my PM account.
Regards Dr. Bob

That's a nice piece of music Dr. Bob

It reminds me a bit of 'autobahn' from 'kraftwerk' but that's only because both songs are electronical and both are about traffic.
Keep me informed |

Ok Bob, let me know your PM address & I'll call them tonight. Oh, follow up with an attempt in using that address & any errors you see on your end that I can use as ammo in case I get a 1st tier airhead on the phone.. if you please |

Nice tune.
Is it played or programmed.
I'm hearing shades of classic JMJ and Kraftwerk |

Hi Guys
Just a quick heads up... For everyone this time.
About 10 minutes ago, I just posted another tracked called "Temporal Storm192kbps.mp3" up on the server. It's basically an ambient track, I know Goran likes these more than the Doof-Doof stuff.
It's basically a thunderstorm, with a heart beat. violent, but strangely calming.
It can be played as an independent track, but it has a companion track, I almost lost during a clean out of old stuff.
I will post the companion track a bit later, I might even post a quick remix of both tracks.
These are all part of the commercial stuff, I sometimes get to work on.
I like to listen to Temporal Storm, every so often, when I've had a sh!tty day, or need to think a bit. It works as a loop as well.
Regards Dr. Bob
