| HI,LOOKING FOR ADVICE. NEED HELP WITH THE ORDER IN WHICH I SHOULD SET UP MY BOARD. THIS IS HOW I HAVE IT NOW FROM GUITAR TO AMP. BOSS CS3, TUBE SCREAMER, BOSS NF1 GATE, MY AMP IS A 1959 FENDER CHAMP, IT SEEMS TO WORK WELL LIKE THIS BUT I RUN INTO PROBLEMS WHEN I ATEMPT TO PUT MY BOSS RC-20 LOOPER INTO THE CHAIN ANYWHERE IT CUTS MY GAIN BY 50% (EVEN WHEN NOT BEING USED) I'M THINKING THAT I SHOULD USE MABE A A/B SWITCH WHEN I RECORD ONTO THE LOOPER THEN SWITCH BACK TO PLAY ALONG WITH IT? AS YOU CAN SEE I NEED HELP!!! THANK YOU, EDDIE |

I put my RC-2 at the end of my chain. That way I can record any effects used. I lose some signal but far less than 50%, I'd say only about 10% to 15% |

| I use my RC-2 in the effectsloop of my amp, but as Champs don't have such loop, I'd use it with the A/B switch you mentioned. I never remarked a gain loss with my looper. You could also mic your amp and send that signal through the looper, but then you'll need a mic preamp + a 2nd amp. |

Are you sure you give him enough current ? Aren't you trying to power it up via a daisy chain ? Did you check if the power supply and the current draw are compatible ? I have a RC-2, and it draws quite a lot.

EDIT : The RC-20XL draws 120mA, which is 10 times the draw of the CS-3 and most compact pedals. |

You guys should try putting a MT-2 after the RC-2. That way you can record something with the pedals before and at some point metal things up with the MT-2. I also use it to get an old radio sound (dist down and high pitched EQ). It's also interesting to get noisy and still have the last distortion to make your delays dirtier. Anyway here is my set :
TU-2 / CS-2 / BD-2 / FV-50 / TW-1 / DF-2 / DM-2 / DD-6 / CE-5 / PH-1r / RV-2 / RC-2 / MT-2
But I'm into electro-analog stuff, so I'm not always using them the way they were intended to.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR INSITE. IT HAS BEEN HELPFUL. I WAS RUNNING THE RC-20 ON BATTERIES AND AS I FOUND OUT THAT IT EATS THEM UP! SO I PLUGED IT IN AND NO PROBLEM I PUT IT AT THE END OF THE CHAIN SO THAT I CAN RECORD EFFECTS AS YOU SUGGESTED. THANK YOU. ANY IDEAS ON A HOME MADE BOARD? EDDIE |

Hi eddie Can I ask you not to type all of your posts in upper case. In the online world, it's considered a sign that you are angry, or are shouting.
I do remember though, that one of our members here was unable to change case, due to a physical injury.
Apologies if this was you eddie.
But most of all - all upper case text is very difficult to read.
Thanks for understanding.
