Serial numbers with 4 digits are more batch numbers than serial, so they are not unique.

I thought each serial # was unique.
Hi Disco Stu & Guys One of my little brethren of CE-2's is also from Batch 0000.
Thanks for the link, it will be interesting to see what it actually sells for? I did notice he mentioned another 0000 recently sold for over $350.
The ink pad serials are more batch numbers.
But what's even freakier, is that Laurie & I, both own SP-1's with the identical 6 digit paper serial numbers.
I belive Bossarea-Admin, knows of another similar set of identical serial numbers, with two other members here on the forum. Perhaps he'll chime in & refresh our memories.

Is this really worth 350 USD? |

No single BOSS compact pedal is worth that price! I'd never pay that. The prices for SG-1's, SP-1's, VB-2's, etc. are not justifiable. This is just a player's point of view. I know, an avid collector would stone me for those phrases. |

Yeah, I was rethorical, I'm totally with you. Plus, I don't get what a SP-1 does exactly to your sound, but SG-1 or VB-2 are not my style. Would I buy it if I found it cheap? Definitively yes! At this price? I can live without it.
My sound needs a CE-2, but I'd rather buy a cheap MIT... If they're still there. |

| As far as I know and from what I have read about in the BOSS Book and heard on its CD the SP-1 is a simple pseudo parametric EQ that changes the tonal character of your middle frequencies. I think that I have got more sonic possibilities with my PQ-4. |

SP-1 is more of a fixed wah..
a super-clean SS CE-2 with box and everything might be worth $250. Give me proof of a clear-switch CE-2 and maybe it'll be more..
not this one, though. To a collector, maybe more like $125.
I think pedals should accrue value and be cherished for their rarity just like anything collectible in this world.. and like all the rest their value depends entirely on a healthy buying market. Fortunately, right now, that is the case. I hate paying a lot for pedals but I like it when the ones I have are worth a lot to buyers . |

The SP-1 sounds great before a dirt box. I set my controls at around 10 o'clock. As for the value...with gplayer298 paying $350 for a CE-2, $286 for a DC-2 without box, and $313 for an OD-1 w/4558. I'd say he"d pay at least $600 for a beat SP-1!!! |
