Thats a nice price, very unlucky Stratman. Your experience has happened to me a few times. You click the buy button thinking your bargain is in the bag then you find out some other bugger got there a few seconds before. I feel your pain. Bloody ebay.

Hi Stratman
Just remember Stratman, you may have missed this one, but you will soon find an even better deal. Such is the case with EvilBay.
But still, I think I can say sorry, on behalf of all of us....

I wonder if maybe they meant to list it at 135 but missed the 1. Sometimes I worry the sellers might not honor these low BINs if it was a mistake or they realize they could have sold it for a lot more.
I did once miss out on a DM-3 with a $75 BIN. I had already clicked the BIN option and when I did the confirmation I was told someone else had already bought it. Oh well, I later got a DM-3 in excellent condition with the box, at a much higher price though. |

| I missed one for $20 on Ultimate-Guitar a few months ago, I'm still beating myself up about it. |

Yep, that sinking feeling is still there!!!! I also posted a while back about the CE-2 and PH-1R - both MINT with MINT boxes...AU$50 each. That guy really didn't know their true value. I did manage to get the HM-2 (mint with mint box and MIJ) And I've still got a similar feeling about those! Several months on...
It's not really eating me up though, I just think from time to time "If only..."
You're absolutely right, Dr Bob! Another day... But thanks for your condolences! You have a way of cheering anybody up!
Big Boss Man... I reckon you're right there too. The average price when searching for "Completed Listings" seems to be around US$150-175. I might keep an eye on the seller to see what eventuates. What a stuff up, if it was though!

I didn't even want a CE-5 but I wouldn't say no to anything at that price, I was so pissed off that I bought a DD-6 the next day |

Sold! Seconds after I looked at it. US$35.

Hi Stratman
Go whatch & liaten to the Boss FDR-1 fender deluxe reverb pedal
It has a really (GASSY) Nice tremolo built in.
Se you may have missed the PN-2, only to be shown how great the trem in the FDR-1 is?
I fell in Gas with is pedal after I heard/saw the demo.
I have a fantastic old Fender 75 with the 16 inch reverb tank But sadly no tremolo, Some of the stuff I would like to play need the Vintage Fender Trem sound.
Perhaps we should wait, & buy one together. maybe a discount? & we would both be happy.
Regards Dr. Bob

| I'm always a few days late and/or a few dollars short. Last week I was trying to find info on Trouble's "Run to the Light" CD, and the day before I did my search of current and completed listings, one sold for only $2.75. The only current listing for that CD when I did my search sold a few days later for $33... |

Hey Dr Bob. I was thinking exactly the same thing about the FDR-1. After watching the video demos, I agree. Very nice indeed. And it was pretty cool listening to the comparison to a DRRI (Deluxe Reverb Re-Issue)... a very close digital modelling indeed.
However, I do love my real DRRI. Nothing can beat the "sponginess" of an all-tube amp - including all tube reverb, vibrato (read "tremelo" - whcih should technically read "tremolo" ) and rectifier!!! Talk about picking dynamics!!!! Nothing beats a tube rectifier, IMHO.
DRRI = "the epitome of clean tone" for me. Glassy and bell-like!
But... I'll still be getting one! Sounds like they'd be good for pushing an actual DRRI (or any other non-master volume tube amp) past breaking point. |
