| Hi! Merry Christmas to you all from sweden! I have thinking of a solution to avoid tonesuck from my tu-2. If I put in my DC-3 in the pedalboard and use the output B to input signal of the tuner, then, will it suck the tone do you think? The effect from the DC-3 was quite different when usin only one output to speaker, but with both of them plugged in, but I think that the effect was quite cool. Any thoughts about it? |

| Sounds like it should work. Seen others put there TU-2 at the end of the chain. |

I keep hearing and reading about tone suckage from the TU-2. Could someone describe to me what kind of tone suck you're getting? I ask because I've been using a TU-2 since they first became available and I notice nothing of the sort in my setup.
Inquiring minds want to know... |

Agreed, silvertone6120 I have no issues with my TU-2 at all. I think that the early tuners sucked tone, and the tuner, tone suck reputation has stuck. Good tuners like the TU-2 dont change the tone at all.IMHO

| Really the only way is to set it in its own dedicated, true-bypass loop. |

Mine is inline, not in a loop. That's how I've always used it and have no problems at all with tone suckage. This is actually my second TU-2. The first one(that I bought right after they came out) was stolen along with other pedals in a BCB-3 back in 2003 IIRC. I had to replace the TU-2 asap. The bottom line is I've never had any tone problems out of either one.
...and I like the word "suckage" too |

| i agree. ive never noticed the TU-2 take anything from my tone and i use it straight in my chain. same with NS-2 and LS-2. i dont understand why they are seen as tone suckers. |

| I've never had any problems either, but depending on your set up it might matter where you have the TU-2 in your chain. For instance--if you have a fuzz in your chain it will usually want to be first in line or atleast before any pedals with a buffered bypass. The buffer of the TU-2 may interact with pedals such as a fuzz or other kinds of true-bypass pedals. Try putting it in different parts of you chain...first, last, or maybe somewhere else in the mix. |
