Hi,

I was wondering has anyone made a vertical pedal board or seen it done?

There are Boss displays in some stores which have the entire current boss range all set up vertically. It's so easy to just sit and play and tweak. I'd love to have something like that at home so I can adjust my sound without bending over all the time.

There are a lot of effects. How do they route it so it's quiet?

Here's what one looks like:

Any ideas or hints?

Damn i want one of those. Except using my V-wah on it would be pretty tricky.

or you could just put the ones to tweak on a table...much less hassle...

I tweek my settings almost constantly. I never have my pedalboard on the floor. Luckily, we have a bar that's the perfect waist height (slightly taller than a normal kitchen table). I always play with both pedalsboards horizontal, but up high.

yeah, forget about it, had a rough day at the office, didn't read it properly... Whatever (there's no smiley hitting himself against a wall so I had to put this one instead).

Table is a great idea. Don't know why I didn't think of it. Whatever pedals I'm using at the moment hide on some MDF under the coffee table anyway. I can always tilt it towards me a bit like an architects table, too.
Great idea, thanks!

Cicatriz, that's funny.

I will, but I don't have a pic on-hand. I will have to take a fresh pic.

Now that's a good example of a vertical pedalboard... Seems to weight a ton though. I think the future is something like that, but like an old organ: pedals on the floor and their respective knobs placed in order on a table.

@ Cicatriz: gracias

I was thinking about something like this recently too.. I wanted something like a blank board at tweak-height I could slap a couple pedals on (gently) for whatever I was doing at the time. It's like have a modular synth in front of you.

Maybe this is a way to display a collection of pedals at home - get some thin rails and mount 'em right on the wall!

Unless you have a switching system, you'd have to use a hand to turn them on and off though... That defeats the purpose for me. I've gotten quite adept at turning knobs with my shoes or toes, I think I'll just keep my board on the ground.
