I finally got one for a decent price recently : 40 (including shipping).
They usually gor for a little more, but rarely more than 100.
It's a good EQ, efficient, sturdy.
The choice of the frequencies is not the best for guitar, in fact it's more a general EQ. On guitar, not all the 10 bands would be useful. And they are placed "mathematicaly", every octave (octave is a physical measurement of frequencies) in fact : 31, 62, 125, 250, 500, 1k, 2k, 4k, 8k, 16k. In my opinion it's not the best choice to make, but that's a detail.
It can accept varied signal level, making it really useful everywhere other EQ are worthless : in a too powerful effect loop, after a clean boost, and so on, without ever clipping.
It does not hiss. |
