If you're in the market for a top-end compressor then the Barber Tone Press is worth considering. It's a parallel compressor (i.e it duplicates the guitar signal, processes it, and then allows the two signals to be blended together) which gets rid of that weird sound you get with a standard compressor when the attack time is very short. Lots of people seem to rate this one highly.
I'm late to the party on this since you already picked up a Keeley, but I have an Analogman Bi-comprosser and it's pretty daman good.
There is at least one other Comp thread floating around so I won't repeat myself too much from that thread but IMO compression is the most misunderstood and both under and overused effect out there.
I love it on the clean funk stuff I do as well as the distorted stuff too.
