In french it's "contrefacon".
I talked to the guy. In fact I knew him from before (I allready made stuff for him). He is not a crook. He told me the pedal had velcro glued to the bottom, and the label peeled when he removed the velcro. I trust him on that.
But he bought the pedal used, so the former owner could have made the change.
The NS-2 has a MIJ silver label. And it's from the same date than the ds-2 :
DS-2 :
* Silver - Made In Taiwan
The DS-2 was sold from December 1987 to present.
NS-2 :
* Silver - Made In Japan * Silver - Made In Taiwan
The NS-2 was sold from September 1987 to present.
Could the DS-2 MIJ have existed ? In fact, could Bossarea have a lack of informations ? |

| There are genuine silver label DS-2s. Whether this is one is another matter. The pedals made 87-88 should have the serial number in the battery compartment and the country of origin should be on the sticker. |

Ok, it seems there is serial N and "Product of Roland, Japan" printed inside the batterie compartment.
I think I'll bought it, in fact. |

Do you know the serial number? I'm trying to figure out when production moved from Japan to Taiwan for each pedal so it would be useful information. |

If this is a real MIJ DS-2, you should update your site. |

Thanks, Yes, I should update the site. On the site on my local machine this and many other issues have been fixed. Unfortunately I've also added a bug that can make the site crash. As soon as I've fixed that I will update the pages. I'm rather busy watching footy now but as soon as the world cup is over...
