Hi there, I'm in the process of building a Ross Compressor Clone. In my instructions there is a picture of a wire going from one spot to another, and I believe this is the jumper thing I keep hearing about (so far I had not come across this otherwise) my question is, what am I supposed to jumper these two holes with? what kind of wire? where do I get it? What works best? Does anyone have any article that talks about jumpering? etc..
Thanks for your help |

Usually, you can just use a resistor leg - the part you snip off after you've installed and soldered them. The two points that are to be jumpered together are usually close enough, so there's no risk of any other components coming in contact with the bare jumper. In some rare cases, the two points being jumpered together are very far apart, with other components being in the way - in those cases, you'll need to use hookup wire. But that is a very rare situation - for the most part, the pcb will be designed to keep jumpers as short as possible.

| You can also use a 0 Ohm Resistor (Yes, they make them) |

I normally use 24 or 22 awg multi-strand wire, as they are more flexible than the single-strand type. You should be able to get a sample pack with a few different colours from Radio Shack or someplace similar.
