Its actually been up for a number of months now but I just haven't plugged it.. No big deal really. Rather simple in design & meant for quick navigability, it will someday be my musical presence to the world. I'm already thinking about changing the name; thinking of cool band names is tough, especially considering that every one I conjure has been taken before. Couple that with the fact that I don't see myself bouncing around making $millions$ on stage while half inebriated, grabbin' at girls like they were all six-packs (very off-colour joke, sorry) backstage after the show, & a cool band name for a solitary act becomes even more challenging!

A guy I work with has been making music & releasing his own CDs for a few years now. I've been busy steering him into Universal Audio, MOTU, R0de, & other higher end equipment, & critiquing his multitracking efforts in his DAW applying the right amount of VSTs etc.
Meaning, I know tons of recording stuff (I read a lot) but have yet to put my hands on. There won't be any recorded music for quite a while. I'm still taking guitar lessons & haven't the time to get tight with my writing or playing yet. As a matter of fact, I'm only now starting to record into my computer. It should prove a tedious endeavor. I already see the steep learning curve both within the DAW & real-world studio techniques. Raisin' 3 boys alone really puts a damper on me-time. At least I don't work that 2nd job I had for 7 years slingin' pizza! (sad story).. but life's lookin' up!
A couple of notes: on the Music page is a couple songs I writ & the player is at the ready for when I actually post the MP3s up there. Over on the Files page is a collection of some music theory & reference documents I put together myself in addition to some handy files from other people. The last column has a few SWF tools for the music-minded. The core of the Links page has you surfing to Chord & Scale building tools on the 'net.
Anyway, its really a small website. Most of the clicking will be on the Files & Links pages. Let me know what you think! Its definately a WIP but currently, its just a container site for when I actually have the time to start producing tangible auditory mix. Bonus: Find my old college picture playing guitar!
Now, I must go post over at the other 4 forums I frequent on a regular basis! Cheers |
