That's an interesting point about the fees. I can't remember at which point fees are deducted from a seller.
Is it only after the buyer's money has cleared into the seller's account, is it after a set time period, or is at as soon as the BIN button is hit?
I hope this particular seller doesn't read this and have nightmares, but I'm not sure I would risk a stunt like that without knowing the full workings of fees.
Someone hits the button by mistake and you get hit with a huge ebay fee even though the buyer can't pay? I'm sure that safeguards must be in place to prevent this, look at that 'General Lee' car that sold recently for $10million and the buyer couldn't pay. Do ebay 'write it off', or is someone liable for the fees if it's a no-sale? I imagine no-one has to pay, but it's sort of asking for some joker to click the button, costing you the listing fees at least.

| fees are applied as soon as the item sells. So when the BIN is hit, and invoice is created. If the buyer doesnt pay, the seller can fill out a form, and get re-embursed for the fees. |

I am sure the seller was disappointed that this sold for only $40 instead of the $1,000,000 BIN price... |
