Hi JCM800PDX Nice. The CE-1 looks to be in great condition cosmetically. Does it also run as well as it looks?

Hi Dr. Bob!
The CE-1 works perfectly! The pots all turn cleanly with no pops or fuzz. It still has the clear plastic covering on the serial number plate! It's missing two of the plastic feet, but I'm not terribly concerned about that. The inside looks untouched, which was nice to see.
The CE-1 is light years ahead of the CE-3 (despite preceding it by nearly a decade). It's much more lush and natural sounding. I actually prefer the sound of the CE-2 to the CE-1 in mono mode, but the CE-1 in stereo definitely takes the cake. |

Nope, in Japan the number 4 is considered unlucky, kind of like the number 13, therefore they skip it on a lot of things like Boss pedals and even hotelrooms.
Boss only made one little mistake with the PQ-4. |

Thanks for all your comments folks and I'm glad that you liked the photo.
Ollie - it very much depends on the set we are doing (I tend to mess around with my board a lot) but the DM-2 is usually a cert. The DD-7 often gets on there too - for medium delays (c. 350-400 ms) for slow solos (and as a backup if the DM-2 ever crapped out - never has yet though in 25+ years). I don't use the DSD's much live - too messy to set up and I don't need the sampling capability live - experimental & fun pedals really.
I didn't put this photo up on the forum before as it's a bit rubbish (a quick snap with a flash and far too much glare on the reverb pedals) but it completes the 'delay' family - hope you like this one as much
