There's one of my two guitarists that has a problem, how to switch fast between three pedals:

In a track he uses FZ-5 then the DS-1 (or 2 I don't remember now...) for a solo.

In a second track he uses TS9 for rythmic and DS-1 (or whatever is...) ever for the solo.

My question is: how to switch fast? He can't turn off one pedal and turn on the other so fast and obviously he can't use both effects. There's a sort of switch or something that can control pedals?

get an LS-2 and have the pedals he only uses for solos in Loop A. that way he can switch to the solo chain when he needs to with one stomp and switch back to rhythym immediately.

plus it will cut those pedals out of the chain to save some tone

A Line Selector LS-2 sounds like it would do the job.
in A<-->B mode, you toggle between the two,
or in A->B->Bypass, its one to the next

Or maybe an AB-2 foot switch depending on your friends setup

I've found this picture shot during the rehearsal, I'm not sure if it's the very last set-up, but I presume so (he's lazy). Perhaps I had a mistake it's a Turbo Overdrive, not the Distortion, sorry.

The chain must be:

WHA
Volume
TU-2
DD-3
CH-1
CS-2 (mine!)
TS9
OD-2
FZ-5

If the Fuzz is on & the distortion is off & you step on both simultaneously, then you'll have the Distortion on & the Fuzz off. The technique only works with 2 pedals of course but if the two in question are positioned right next to each other, just rotate your foot & happily toggle between them.

Or buy an LS-2

Dear Defrag, he's a professional musician, not an artist of Barnum's Circus: he can't play on a razor blade hoping if the trick works when the time to switch arrives!

just send him for tap dancing lessons.....

but seriously i used to use three boss pedals for lead sounds...just leave the rythmn one on,and kick in the lead pedal and them turn the other one off...i used to use two at the same time i.e the DS1 and the OD2..even now sometimes i kick in the CS3 with my twin tube classic for more bite on a solo..sometimes i even forget to turn the compressor off..no one has ever noticed.....
