Do you get a daisy chain for powering a 4 or 5 electro harmonix pedals?
Any UK links would be appreciated... |

| Are these some older EH pedals or the newer Nano Series? I think if they are the older type, you could probably use something like a Visual Sound One-Spot which also has adaptors to help with pedals with different AC inputs, as some of them use a 3mm jack. If they are the newer Nano series, you may run into a problem because the polarity needed on some of those pedals is opposite what some pedals are, and usually the ones that have that reverse polarity cannot be used in a mutiple-power source situation. Tonebenders are like this where if you are going to use a Tonebeneder in your chain, it cannot be hooked up to any shared power supply chains, and needs its own source. |

Yes, I confirm anything it's the 3.5 mm converter.
This is the page about it: http://www.visualsound.net/vss.htm
and this is the scan of mine.

I use it with my Dunlop CryBaby and I've used with EH Big Muff (when I owned one) and with EH Doctor Q (which I don't use it anymore).
I've to admit that I use their 9V DC Power Adapter and it works well, without noise or what. |

| It's for a Double Muff, a Small Stone and a Small clone. According to the instructions, I need a 'tip positive' connection? |

| Paging Dr. Bob....Paging Dr. Bob. He's probably one person who can explain what the actual differences are and what you may need to look for. I just know that most of the pedals I deal with have the barrel AC hookup, while some EHs and older DODs have the 3.5mm (1/8") jack for their AC hookups... |

hi jack & Guys
i hope i understood what you were asking Jack
here is are some examples of 2.1mm DC sockets & plugs like the ones found on Boss & most other pedals.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and here are a few examples of 3.5mm or 1/8th inch, mono phono sockets & plugs, they are the same size as most walkman type headphones plugs, but mono.

------ references ------- the images came from a lot of links on the google images search page. I just pasted them all together & added some text. --------------------------
regards dr. bob
For heavens sake someone send me a new or working mac usb keyboard (white). my left shift key has intermittently gone south.. it might be a hint, that I might be spending too much time here.. |

The Double Muff needs a mini jack with a positive tip/centre, which means the polarity is the other way round to a Boss pedal. I know that there are DC adaptors that allow you to change the polarity of individual power cables, but you can't do it with most daisy-chain type arrangements.
However, the One Spot system does a battery clip adaptor, which could be a solution, as all 9V battery clips use the same polarity witing. As the Double Muff has a battery door on the bottom with a fair bit of floor clearance, you should be able to string the wire through without any issues (works with ProCo Rats, too).
Some wise advice here: http://www.stinkfoot.se/andreas/diy/power/psu.htm |
