is there that much of a sound difference between the new model 117R's and the old model 117s?

is it worth the extra $ to get a vintage one on ebay?

from what ive heard there is a difference. hit up youtube, there is alot of demo's of the original, reissue and EVH version.

youtube is pretty good you can see alot of gear through alot of diffrent combos

yea I guess I'll go for a vintage one, I mean theres a HUGE difference between the script phase 90s and the current block logo ones, and I'm guessing theres just as much of a difference in the flangers...
on a side note I tried a ibanez FL9 flanger reissue, and it wasn't bad, but people still tend to say the MXR original grey flanger is the shit
