I contacted this guy about this amp. Sounded a bit dodgy, so I went to try it out. (A good 1hr 30min round trip) The amp is faulty. He know's this, because I told him. No idea what wrong, but when you crank it, the low strings crackle, fart and fizz. The high strings play fine?
Anyway, 24hrs later, he's still trying to 'flog a dead horse'. Some poor punter shall have to deal with this

the seller is obviously untrustworthy... it could be something as simple/stupid as a loose nut on one of the pots, or some other type of loose connection on the circuitboard.

It's only three months old so if it is faulty why not go back to the shop and have it repaired under warranty?

There should be a way to post messages about ebayers on ebay so that you can warn people about a dodgy seller before you get stuck with a lemon.

I guess the feedaback system is meant to do that but it's always a bit delayed and a bit deceptive to a would be buyer.

He bought it from Denmark Street in London. I saw it in Edinburgh. Bit of a trek!

Went for �85 plus �20 postage. I know you can get a brand new one delivered for about �110. So someone has just saved a fiver to receive a busted amp. What a shame....
I look forward to reading the feedback. Hopefully they'll have the sense to check out the amp fully before leaving it....
