After doing some research I believe that I have discovered the maxon OD9 to be true bypass. I watched a couple demo vids and it was mentioned it was true bypass. I think the price is way high, so Im going to try to find one second hand.
But before I do, is there a way to make my current boss sd-1 true bypass? Seems silly I know. But I like the sound of it, I just hate the extra stuff it adds on top. So can this be done? If so, be honest and tell me its worth it to spend the $100 or so to try to get the maxon if its too difficult, and it since its not the nicest OD out there. If its a lot of work I'll steer away. Thanks for the help.
Also Im thinking of seeing about trading a few boss pedals for one. I have an LS-2, PH-3, OC-2 and SD-1 to trade up for one. Since I know nothing about the price of these pedals used or what they're worth, would this be an uneven trade? They are all made in whatever country is putting them out nowadays. Taiwan? Korea? I dont know. They all work great and are in near mint condition except I have velcro on the bottom which will obviously degrade the value a little Im sure. |

Build yourself a Bypass looper, descriptions you find on the net, easy to build (just jacks and a DTDP switch). Very useful device! Making a SD-1 true bypass is possible but lots of work, no one would do that unless he/she is a mad scientist |

Or Laurie.
Yes Laurie, made his SD-1 True Bypass using a small relay-and Magic mirrors. I belive he also did a Love Pedal Mod on it.

There is another (simpler?) method as detailed here -

- It depends how handy you are with a soldering iron... |
