I'm working on a song that is so much a Rush-ripoff that it's embarrasing. Unfortunately the drum part became so difficult that I haven't been able to play it yet. I have therefore taken a break from that song to record my own version of Any Time At All by The Beatles instead.
Oh and I'm working on a web version of the serial number archive, a new single ended valve amp and a bird house too |

Were always working on a couple of covers for the band..the next two up i think will be a version of bowies 'china girl' his live version is really good check it out on you tube...and another song i find myself playing a lot lately is 'start me up' by the stones i love keefs opening riff/chord........ we also have a couple of originals half recorded on the 8 track that i'm supposed to be working on but i'm still renovating at the moment in the house and i'm doing most of it myself so......(in best homer simpson voice) "need to turn off computer and do some work....doh..!!".... ....... |

| I am working on something completely different: I am writing a punk soundtrack to a 15 minute American labour film made in 1936 called Millions of Us http://www.archive.org/details/millions_of_us purely for the fun and challenge of it. |

Wow that's cool redundant. As soon as I finished watching that clip, I dug out my flattop and played Woodie Guthrie's Hard Travelin'. I have some Ramblin Jack Elliot records, If I had a decent needle for my old turntable I'd give them a listen. Are you going to include any depression era tunes?

I'm using an old Wobbly song Hallelujah, I'm a Bum http://www.archive.org/details/Bum as the opening track, but it now sounds like a Ramones song. Thing is, I'm writing to fit the film, so songs end with the film fadeout/scene changes, which during the first part of the film means four songs that run reasonable lengths. Problem/challenge is, the last sequence of the film has no fadeouts & runs for over 7 minutes - I have never written anything that long before (most my songs are half that:) |

I jam along to it also, or a minute after it's played if I have to go grab a guitar. It's a fun song, fast useally equals fun. The problem is when I jam that song out in front of people they never know what it is, "Come on people, King Of The Hill" and still they don't remember. |

People associate this song with that jingling xylophone sound in the turn around, so without that they don't recognize the song from just the guitar part. |

well i finally started a new tune.
Little Wing.. such a beautiful song. i always forget how good of a guitarist Hendrix was until i start to learn one of his songs. the timing in which he plays the notes is very unusual in some parts and he used his F%$(&*# thumb to sound the bass notes making his style hard to mimic when playing regularly. |
