I'm not a big fan of the true-bypass style switches. In fact I hate them. The loud click noise that is made when switching rubs me the wrong way. Even the feel of pressing it with my foot makes my body cringe.

Is there is there a way to use a flip flop switch to trigger the bypass of such a pedal. Or is there an optional more silent, less clicky bypass switch that could be used in its place?

Ultimately I would like to re-house a true-bypass style pedal into a Boss shell and am wondering what my options are if any.

I was looking at this thread and wondered if it could be possible to use to re-house true-bypass style pedals into Boss shells:

You can build a FET bypass - just use the circuit off maybe the MT-2 schematic.

Any circuit that uses a relay is true-bypass - the relay is used to convert a FET switching circuit to a true bypass circuit.
