Three workers have been injured after the stage for an upcoming Elton John concert collapsed at the Maya pyramids of Chichen Itza, in southern Mexico April 3 2010.

Yeah, the riggers and crew don"t get alot of credit for what they do...but without them, the show doesn't go on.

A crew member of Madonna died during a stage collapse last year, or am I wrong? I hope that they get well soon!

But I wasn't sad if the concert was cancelled. A few hundred ears would have been saved from persisting damage.

That looks like some pretty big damage... Hope they recover!

I don't like Madonna either! This "Sir" is a sometimes disgusting freak IMO. And his latest comment about Jesus possibly having been gay didn't really raise my sympathies for him.

When I worked at Bandit Lites, we got the Christina Aguilera tour due to bad rigging. Crashed the entire light rig (total loss close to a half a million (USD) in lighting gear (that stuff ain't cheap). I give praise where and when praise is due to riggers!

Half a million?!?! God I wonder how much the lighting/stage would've been for Pink Floyds PULSE performance... Thats a different league to almost anything I've ever seen, and that was 16 years ago now!

Hi Guys
I'm with Disco Stu on this one.
Blessings and Healing Prayers for those Roadies & Riggers.
I know how hard the lighting team & riggers work in our company.

Regards Dr. Bob

Lemmy sang it best:

But I just love the life I lead,
Another beer is what I need,
Another gig my ears bleed,
We Are The Road Crew
