Hi all,

Sorry for the Off Topic thread but I figured this would be the best place to post my question.

I have a pretty old TC Electronic Chorus/Flanger that now makes a lot of noise when used. At first I thought it was my amp making the noise but it turns out its the TC which is strange because the TC is known for its silence.

The noise is like white noise and is soft but noticeable when playing, especially when using overdrive with the pedal. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Again this is one of the original TC electronic chorus/flanger/pitch modulation pedals as there is no purple strip one this unit. Also the switch seems to be a finicky as it wont shut off sometimes and I have to press it repeatedly, but I've heard that the TC chorus has had that problem for years.

If anyone knows where I should look internally I'd appreciate any help I can get. The only spooky thing is that this pedal uses no batteries and only plugs in to an electrical socket so I just don't want to kill myself trying to fix this thing. Hopefully I can because a new one will set me back at least $300!

And yes, I just picked up a CE20 but I still love my TC too...

aloha!
