I haven't posted here in awhile, but I think some of you might be interested in this. I copied this from my post over at Harmony Central.

Saw Joe today in Vancouver, I was right up close to him just behind the front row. It was a truly awesome concert - he's got amazing control of his guitar and his tone is tight, focused and fat. His playing is just superb, I love his vibrato technique. He was using a bunch of LP's the whole night, including his signature one, and he's in love with the bridge pickup. His acoustic playing was phenomenal as well, he did a killer version of 'Woke Up Dreaming' that reminded me a bit of SRV's acoustic 'Rude Mood' with its blistering speed. It was his first concert in Vancouver and the crowd loved him.

A few shots of his rig right before the show:

Shots taken during the show:

All in all it was an awesome experience that's motivated me to keep at it and play harder and harder. Any other Joe Bonamassa fans in the house? Share some thoughts and let me know what you think of the guy.

excellent photos JG.... i missed joe in july when he was in Dublin as i was away on holidays.......joes tone is awesome and his rig while looking complex is pretty straight forward.... all the pedals are 'off the shelf' except for the Gas Cooker booster pedal.... and the marshall jubliee head is always on in conjunction with one of the other heads,he runs the DD-3 through the effects loop of the marshall.... the two 4x12's are split inside so each head has 2 speakers and he uses the plexiglass screens and the acoustic mats to reduce volume and keep his tone intact....the rack seems to have changed a bit to the photos and interview i have, for one the Diaz head isn't in it and i can see what looks like the butt end of a boss pedal sticking out..i lknow one of the rack units is a reverb and i would assume that one of the others is a high end D.I. for his acoustic..... isn't it great to come away frm a gig inspired to practice harder and play better........once again excellent photos and great post...... have a couple of these .....
