You are on the righ track with your three connecting examples.

In your first example the NS-2 will cut out the chorus before anything else, because the chorus is in loop and loop gets priority by the NS-2.

When you connect EQ and Chorus to loop both will be cut out before anything else, because both pedals are connected to loop and the loop gets priority by the NS-2.

Now, as mentioned before, whether you will hear the actual difference between connecting effects to loop or not is debatable, because the signal gets cut out. When both pedals in loop are cut out the guitar works just on its own, so the sound will be slighty different, compared to when sound will be cut out when pedals are not in loop.

WE can make this a long discussion, but it may be better to connect your pedals in various ways--make notes of how you connect things and make a note of what you hear-- and see if you hear the difference. The difference will be very subtle.

Do not expect any wonders from a pedal like the NS-2 because it is just a simple noisegate. Rackgear could achieve far better results, but as a simple guitarpedal it works fine.

As always,experiment and do not depend to much on manuals or specs. Your ears will really tell the difference, so experiment and have patience.

I have a Boss NS-2 being delivered tomorrow, after obtaining a massive increase in hiss from my chorus pedal. I have a gig tomorrow night and will have only an hour so after work to play around with the new pedal before I go Live.

What I need to know is where should I place and how should I connect the NS-2.

My current route:

Guitar -> TU-2 -> Digitech Red Special Pedal -> EVH Phase 90 -> AMP

In the FX Loop of the Amp I have my chorus pedal, the culprit of all my noise at high gain whether on or off.

If somebody could let me know how to use the NS-2 in this situation I would be eternally greatful!

Kind Regards,

Rich
