Hey folks,
Anyone use or had any experience with the Samson line of wireless guitar systems? I've been looking at an Airline 77 and was just curious at some real life reviews.
cheers Rod

| It is honestly the best thing that ever happened to me. wireless you can go anywhere you want. I tested mine in the guitar shop and my friend walked down a hole floor and it was still working perfectly, really amazing. I'm talking about the AP-1 and the AG-1 here the samson "compact" series as i like to call it. the quality is the same as a really good cable. My advice is to get it. i could have gotten the FZ-5 DN-2 and the ML-2 for that so you sure understand the sacrifice i made to get it. it's amazing! |

Cool! Thanks heaps man. Yeah I'm looking at the AG-1.
I've had a choice between the Samson and a Nady 4/GT but I've been reading some fairly negative reviews on the Nady, mainly with the belt pack & cable always being replaced fairly quickly ,and a lot of noise.
cheers! Rod |

i don't know much about samson's wireless systems but i have a headphone amp by them in our recording gear and its a solid piece of kit with a great clear sound.....and it was pretty reasonable price wise.... |

thanks for the advice guys, I've decided to go with a Sennheiser Freeport instead for the same $$. From research and reviews it seems to be a lot more reliable and has the switchable channels. I do certainly dig the bug though on the Samson :) Oh well, least if I break the cable from guitar to beltpack it's only the cable to replace and not the full transmitter like the bug.
thanks again for your input Rod |

I would never ever play electric guitar without a good quality cord, transmitting the signal most possibly do something to the tone. Anyway I would get very nervous about it |

| Yeah Goran understand, I heard heaps of advice on the tone sucking qualities of wireless's, must say though this Sennheiser with my tone is very acceptable, I just had to fiddle with the mids a bit. I'm a happy chappy :) |

| I'm happy with my Sennheiser 172. Its a quality unit but the transmitter guzzles batteries like a drunken frat boy. |

Hey guys... interesting topic!!!
Which brand and which model would you recommend for a mid price wireless. For me, id rather spend a couple hundred more dollars and get better quality and be happier in the long run knowing it would last.... something in the mid price range.
Any help would be appreciated dudes and dudettes!!!! |
