I recently played some gigs where I mostly played acoustic stuff, and carried my Peavey Classic 30 amp and my strat for just about two or three songs.
Now I wonder if I should be able to just take my AER Compact 60 acoustic amp with me, and use some amp simulator and the strat for the three electric songs.
I'm thinking about the twin pedals OD-20 and GP-20, both having a corrected output.
Any ideas if this would work out? Does anyone use these twin pedals with an acoustic amp?
Are there other (BOSS) pedals I missed so far?

A GP20 should be able to go direct to the PA.
I had a GP20 for a long long time, until I discovered the Tech 21 SansAmp stuff.

I now use their old SansAmp Acoustic DI (no longer made, but replaced with their SansAmp ParaDriver).
Plug an acoustic or electric guitar straight into it and use the XLR output to go direct to the PA (they're boxes are even phantom powered!).
The EQ on them is superb... sparkle clean to breaking up overdrive.

I just stick a few effect boxes (chorus, delay, OD, etc) infront of it.
No amps at all for me.

What I wonder is:
can I play my acoustic guitar through my pedalboard including a GP-20 (without having a speaker sim when it's switched of), and then play my strat through the same rig, switching on the GP-20 to have an electric guitar amp sound through my AER?

If the OD-20 & GP-20 sound right straight into a PA, then they should sound right in an acoustic amp, which is really just a small PA amp with guitar features. Does the AER have a tweeter cut control? The only thing you may find is that an acoustic amp might not have much headroom for hot signals in & if you boost your Strat level using overdrives, you may get added distortion from the AER that is unpleasant.
