Nearly all of my beloved made in japan pedals ('83 SD-1, '87 CE-2, '88 DM-3, '87 NF-1 and '80 SG-1) have a deteriorated grommet that goes around the pedal screw. The grommets became melted and distorted, offering little or no protection to the screw slot.
Do any of you guys have a source for these grommets? I would like to get a dozen or so. Thanks in advance.
They should have a Paypal-enabled site where you can just fill a cart with spares. It's possibly a lot of hassle for them to reply personally regarding such low cost parts, though I think there's a minimum order charge which I was quite prepared to pay. I haven't heard back either (UK site). I looked at the rubber grommets in Maplins, but they aren't the correct internal diameter. Are they made specifically for pedals, or are they a standard size used in electronics/engineering in general? I read a post (I'm sure on here) where someone tracked down similar in a hardware store, though it was in the US. I'll keep looking too.
