I've been keeping my pedal board pretty simple for a while, but I've now got rid of my almost all my Boss pedals (the DD20 and HF2 are now the last to go).
All I have left is my SansAmp TriAC. I do still have my Boss FV300 and TU12.
I have, however, gone and bought one of these. It's actually rather nice. |

I'm going to be honest here. I don't really understand rack units. I have no idea why I'd want one. I don't know how they work. I'm scared to ask as I already spend to much time and money on compacts! |

Basically I do more and more recording stuff at home, and now rarely play live. So having a floor pedal is not important to me anymore.
I've always used delays since I first started playing. I had the DD20 since it first came out because it was a godsend having the ability to dial in an exact bpm with note subdivisions in a pedal.
Unfortunatley the DD20 can't sync to a midi clock. So I need something that could. I could use the VST's on the PC, but I always prefer my delay/reverb to be hardware. Ok, so it's a rack unit. I see it at just a box that does all sorts of delay & reverb... and I got it for a rather nice price too. After just a few hours I've programmed some very nice sounds into it.
I don't think I've got Rack GAS... yet. |

Racks are pretty cool. I havn't used mine much recently, but setting up live with the GSP-2101 was super easy as all ya had to do was set the one pedal board out, just one cable! Lately it's been mostly pedals... Must be all the pretty colors! |

Nice indeed. That Tube Pre looks interesting, never heard of it before.
Racks are great fun if you're into spaghetti:

I've another with about 20U of stuff shoved in it. If you get into racks, you really need patchbays to get the best from them. All my mixer and audio interface connections come through to those two patchbays in that photo. Much better than having to crawl round the back like I used to.

| Great. I get pissed all the time over my lack of wireless system while playing and you're all surrounded by cables... And seem to like it! Why!? |

Here's mine, but the effects are still Boss I use my pedals at home and rehearsal mostly. I love the RDD-10 even more than my old CS-3, and I've set up the RDD-10 for a chorus sound.
And yes, Duff Mckagan is still one of my heroes.

I got the tube pre in thomann unheard on spec alone i think it was around 150 i can't remember but it wasn't mad money and it's a solid piece of kit ..i like it... ...i'm probably using it a bit different to the way it was originally intended but it works for me...i run the outputs of the Pod into either channel of the tube pre then into the poweramp..this isn't the way i originally intented to use it either but it's the way that i got it to work best in my setup,i found the XT pro seems to lose midrange/volume by itself so i use the EQ/volume on the TB202 to compensate for this and 'warm' the sound up...i mainly use the XTpro for extra delay/reverb as i couldn't be bothered looking for another unit and the effects are really quite good in it,lately i've started using a marshall JTM 45 simulation but without the cab simulation on..i run the Pods direct/unprocessed out straight to my real Marshall 'mono' amp and the pedalboard straight into the pods main input and i keep the dynacord leslie unit in the pods stereo effects loop for easy switching so the pod is acting as a multi effects, effects loop and a signal splitter..basically the rack runs out through two 1x12 cabs either side of my main amp ....
Mervs mods..i see you have the carvin poweramp..i remember you looking for a poweramp did you pick that up recently...? |
