Perhaps it ended up not getting used very much -- for collectors only?

I would assume that many XT-2 pedals remain in mint condition, since the pedal itself is practically unusable in my opinion...

well put Sunburst. Usually when people say that something is unusable, i think of this as a good thing. like it might sound unique, and i can find a crazy use for it. but the truth is, this is plainly a bad distortion with WAY too much high end. even with punch set to 0. i would definately say for collectors only, or for people who want their audience to cover their ears, and vomit. |

THIS IS THE BEAUTY OF THIS FORUM - while I personally don't see an ongoing use for the XT-2 in MY OWN PERSONAL RIG - IT DOES PRODUCE UNIQUE DISTORTION SOUNDS that, indeed can be very useful for what someone wants to accomplish! SO that is GREAT "Heart and Soul" that you can be resource to someone who has an XT-2 and would like some help dialing it in.
Like most players, I use certain pedals and ignore others and its cool to learn about what other people use and how they make it work - |

| good point starr. while the XT-2 isnt for me, it could definately appeal to someone else. to be honest, the majority of pedals that i do like got the lowest ratings on harmony-central. |

Isn't that interesting - i find the HR-2 which is a nutty must have these days, to have relatively limited application. Same for a CE-2. They sound good but $150 US+ .... I dunno. |
