I have an old DF2 pedal that is not working where can I get it fixed, Also I heard that this pedal's distortion is the same as in the original DS1 can some on confirm this....
The distortion is not the same as the DS-1. Similar perhaps but it's a completely different circuit.
The cheapest way to get it fixed is to find someone local to you. The schematic can be found here. Any decent electronics repairman should be able to fix it if you give him a printout of the schematic together with the pedal.
I think the DF-2 has a sort left field sort of personality. It is not uniform like some of the other stock pedals. Though some have said it is the same as the DS-1. I found the DS-2 to be a little compressed for my liking.
I would be interested to know what settings are being used for your DF-2....
