I came across a RC-20XL with box and manual for $150 on my local craigslist a few days ago. Sadly I'm a bit strapped for cash and could not spring for it.
That's an excellent idea. I have to add that many online USA shops provide a very appealing price, but fail to offer international shipping. Could this system also be used for this? |

I don't see why not.. the program would really see some participation. |

I' am writing to ponder upon the query of international shipping through Bossarea members. I feel it is best to gather an email list of those willing to participate in such a fore mentioned favor for the fellow member. To those willing we must then send a weekly/bimonthly/monthly 'Bossarea Hooligans (inspired by FunkenGrooven's youtube)Newsletter' informing each other of another's personal home address', Craigslist area, and certain shipping restrictions. For example:
Right Foot Boss
Address: 5555 Street Hometown, MI 49555 USA
Cragslist Search Area: Where I Live, Michigan
Shipping Restictions: Amplifiers or anything costing more than $40 to ship. Absolutely no non musical items.
Special Demands: A gas tax upon all craigslist purchases fairly laid out by me to you courtesy of google maps. All SP-1s, SG-1s, VB-2s, and DM-2s, may be subject to a 'lost in the mail' clause with a prompt refund to your paypal account courtesy of me.
Such as would be for every willing participant. Possibly even a special 'Bossarea Hooligans' members only (special password needed to enter) forum thread with related topics and stickies for those of us serious about this process of dividing the spoils amongst our brethren. Here is some of my solution to this beautiful idea:
A Hooligans only membership thread with personal address, Craigslist info, Shipping restriction, and special demands laid out specifically for each individual member. Specific guidelines for all ebay shipments. Granting the personal address of one member to another for the deliverment of musical item purchases only.
To such an idea I present that a paypal member (in good faith) can put another forum members address down as a shipping address. Thus payment will be made by the buyer to the seller and sent to the sponsor. To further protect this idea, members of this 'Hooligan' pedal ring should first be proven worth through the "Guidelines for the buy/sell forum" sticky thread, which should hold a list of outstanding members who can only be placed on there by Bossarea himself.
Sorry for the novel. |

It has been a while & it is my view that we work this concept over again before drafting the guidelines. I urge interested parties to reconsider the simplicity of my proposal as presented in my 1st post. I'll whittle them down for brevity's sake:
* I propose a $300 limit thats equitable & enough to cover most items without too much risk.
* PayPal seems to be the easiest & most logical choice. Folks, come up with an alternate method.
* Participants should hold history & standing at Bossarea to minimize the possiblity of abuse, fraud, theft, etc.
* Transactions & resolutions are to be governed & controlled only between the two parties involved.
* In the event of dissatisfaction, the Buyer will hold little recourse with the Ebay seller & the Sponsor shall be held harmless.
1. The buyer simply buys the item normally & ships it to the Sponsor.
2. The Sponsor simply ships it to the buyer.
3. The Buyer pays the Sponsor secondary shipping costs + $10 to cover time & costs incurred by the Sponsor sending the item to the Buyer.
Simple as that.
Lets hold final discussion, then I'll finalize the bylaws & publish everybody's personal information to each participant & you guys can get moving with this.
If you're on the list, PM/email me your info & I'll get it to the others. |

| Like the bill of rights beautiful and specific but not too specific. A $300 limit is a good idea. Glad to see this topic back again. |
