Hi DasBeef & Guys Nice find, that's about $85au + P&P.
Could this be an indication that they are not selling very well?
And just adding a bit of fuel to the fire, on the: "Boss NAMM 2010 Rumors Thread": http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8733 Perhaps we are about to see some new-updated gear from Boss, that will make these obsolete - old stock.
I know from speaking with local retailers, that the FDR-1 & FMB-1 are not big sellers by any means.
Adding to the speculation & rumors, that players are not really keen on COSM based pedals & gear.
Regards Dr. Bob |

I think that the two Fender amp pedals a hard to sell, they are not cheap, as the market has changed a lot the last couple of years. Today, with internet, you can easily buy very good hand build overdrive pedals for about the same price. The boutique market has exploded, and the trend is that people buy such pedals, not COSM or other modelling pedals. Overdrives is one thing, but Boss is very strong on delays and choruses, price and quality wise.

| Yeah, I'm not really a COSM fan either. I shared that link, but I haven't ordered the pedal. The only COSM pedal that has me kind of interested is the FRV-1, but I'm not shelling out 100 for it. I had 1 or 2 pieces of kit with the COSM technology, but sold or traded them on. |

| The only COSM-based effect unit I have(and have no qualms about) is the RE-20. I have an FDR-1, I got it cheap, but it doesn't really knock my socks off. |

Yep +1.... as silvertone pointed out something like the RE-20 probably works with COSM and Paul H gave good reports of his CE-20 and DD-20 but i'm not sure about trying to replicate a Fender amp or even analogue overdrive/distortion/fuzz units... i also see what Goran has seen,a big swing by a lot of players towards 'boutique' type fuzz pedals etc....Boss are really slipping up here... |

I agree. The fender pedals in australia are ridiculously expensive, so ill probly never buy them. But my RE-20 is heaven, I traded my RC-20 with defrag for it. I love it to bits! |

Hey thanks for the heads up on the FBM-1 Pedal , I just ordered one as they were going so cheap, got it home and plugged her into the Fender DR Reissue and I've got 50's Blues heaven!! I know its COSM and all, but it just sounds more alive than dare I say it.. my old OD-2, which I love dearly. |

Excellent! Glad someone got one, and liked it! I'm still humming and ho-ing. I intend to go to GuitarGuitar in Glasgow and Edinburgh in the next week or so to look at ES335's. If they're 49 in store, I may find it impossible to leave without one! |

Don't know why I put this in the non-boss products bit. Anyway, went through to GuitarGuitar today and tried out a couple of nice guitars. Unfortunately the pedal went back up to 99 so I didn't buy it. Miffed I missed it, but I was only really buying it because it was cheap.... |
